Abstract:The sealing ring in stern shaft sealing device is usually working in the state of continuous frictional contact,then the frictional heat will be generated on the sealing face,the temperature will rise and the thermal deformation of sealing face will appear.The temperature field model of the sealing ring was built by using the SolidWorks software,and the ANSYS 13.0 finite element software was adopted for numerical simulation in order to get the temperature field of the sealing ring under the condition of different spring compressions,the temperature distribution on the sealing face,the stress distribution and the dynamic characteristics of the time response.The results show that the temperature of the sealing ring rises with the increase of spring compression,the transient temperature will achieve the stable state in 0.5 h,and the value will meet the requirement of actually used temperature range.
