Based on the micro-computer, a full-fledged production management system for large or middle scale manufacturing plants has been successfully developed with the aid of computer technology, management science and systems engineering. This system is applicable to job shop production environment. It includes such subsystems as the master production scheduling using the multigoal programming technique, the order release and material reguirement scheduling with ABC classification method, the shop scheduling based on simulation and multiple priority rules, the inventory control and relational data-base. The system is characterized by its very satisfactory designed functions, Besides, it is easy to operate and expand. Last of all, it requires less investment.
