This paper makes assessments of and comparisons between the machine tools manufacturing enterprises of China and Western Europe as two groups with multi-set Data Envelopment Anaiysis method, 3-input and 2-output variables are used first to carry out a comprehensive assessment of their comparative efficiency, and then t test and Kolmogolov-Smirnov test are employed to examine whether there are significant differences on operations management between them, The results show there are some differences, Finally the authors make some suggestions for improvement,
