The moire stripe method is employed to measure the relative displacement of the lumbar facet joints of fresh cadaver during three-dimensional movement, and to explore the relationship of angle, lead and displacement in the movement, This is a simple and effective method to study directly the kinematics. The experiment's result attaches an important clinical significance to the research of the physiological and pathological functions of the posterior structure of lumbar spine.
