In the 1930's, Filatov first .successfully preserved the cornea of cadaver's eye. Thisnot only widened the source "of cornea material, but also drew back the curtain of cornea preservation. Attention has been paid to cornea preservation especially after 1960's and dozens of methods has been developed to preserve cornea, some of which were widely used at present.
