A general calculation method of exergy equilibrium and exergy efficiency in pulp cooking apparatus is given in this paper. With a concrete instance, an exergy analysis in process of pulp cooking is shown. On the basis of that, an available scheme of using a heat pump by steam-jet to recover the flashing steam during the discharge of pulp is put forward.
