In this paper, an experimental rig is designed to investigate the urine-pipe flow characteristics by employing the Chinese medicines used for urinary system disease.The experiments are conducted firstly by pure water and salt salu non of the fluid media, and then by some Chinese medicines of the single and multi-prescriptions. Some remarkable effects on drag reduction and the improvement of the flow behavior are found in some of the medicines.
