Three reformation proposals have been raised to improve the performance of the energy system of a pharmaceutical factory in Shanghai.These proposals are discussed and compared in this paper.The authors hope to denote the real meanings of the parameters, such as energy efficiency,reclaim period of the investment,and recommend that "net annual revenue" might be a very useful parameter for evaluatingthe energy system programmes or other plans.
