Computer Integrated Manufacturing System(CIMS)is a new pattern of manufacturing system,which has been developed from abroad in 1970's.The concepts and technigues of systems engineering have been applied to the development procedure of CIMS in this paper,and an integrated method of development on CIMS is presented,which includes guiding ideology of development,feasibility studies,overall design,implementation and project management of development on CIMS.
