he importance and requirements of single-phase flow through manifold systems are discussed in this paper. The information about the problem from a variety of sources is reviewed and summarized. On the basis of the review, in consideration of the state of affairs of the operations of large capacity boilers in China, the authors provide some suggestions for further research work.
