The content and application area of FPI has been extended in the paper, and it has put forward a new form of test criterion to increase the computation speed. The general problem of shortest route has for been finely solved and more satisfactory computational results than other conventional methods has beem obtained. The method is valuable to be used in practical engineering problems.
