The off centre of the camshaft,mounted on the detector,affects the accuracy and reproducibility of dimension measurement of the cam outline.The present paper is intended to offer a method that can be used to revise measured value of cam outline according to the identified mounting eccentric magnitude of the camshaft,as well as the given base circle radius of the cam. Highly satisfactory results are obtained by employing this method in practical measurement.
