Guided by Austin's framework of Speech Act,the thesis deals with the close interrelation between mood and speech act,modality and speech act,locutionary act and illocutionary act with the aim to explore dialectical unity in the internal and interactice relation between the form and content of English language,or more specifically,between grammatical structure on one side and meaning and use of language on the other side.
