Link travel time functions have been extensively applied by traffic engineering.However,the existing models have some defects.By aid of Greenshields model and queuing delay,explicit formulas for both uninterrupted and interrupted traffic flow which would be applicable in dynamic traffic assingment are set up.Moreover,dynamic path travel time function is suggested.
