Abstract:It is presented in the paper the application of finite element method to solve the coupled N-S equations of incompressible fluid flow. Cascade internal flow field is calculated and analysed based upon NACA series blade profile with different running incidence. In addition to pressure distribution, the normal velocity profile and wall friction coefficient are calculated along the blade surface. To reduce the computation's time-consuming, Baldwin-Lomax turbulent model is incoperated together with the wall functions. Results show that incidence affects evidently not only the pressure profile, but also the flows behavior close to the blade profile, especially in the rear part of the cascade passage.
