Measnting the overall size of workpiece on production line with digital inage processing method is discussed, which is carried out with non-contact device and under automatic judgement. The discussion is made on the constitution of equipments used for acquiring the on-line workpiece's overall image and on the judging and processing technique for the workpiece's overall image. Some measurement results of the experiments concerned are presented.
