Abstract:The procedure to optimize steady state control parameters when applying Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system to an automotive engine is discussed and studied in the paper. On the basis of the experiment, the mathematical model for optimizing the engine steady state control parameters is worked out, which could concisely express the correlation between the performance and the control parameters. Based on this model the multi-objective programming technique is used to determine optimum engine steady state parameters when several performance indexes of engine are taken together to form the objective function. This optimization procedure is effective in all operating conditions and when the demands for each engine performance index are different.
