Electricity transmitted from outside Shanghai will accout for 20% of total electricity consumption in 2005, which is planned by the state project transmitting electricity from the west to the east and the program of energy structure reform in Shanghai. As a result, it will put a big impact on Shanghai electric network. A detail cost analysis for electricity transmitted from outside Shanghai is given in the paper and some suggestions are also put forward.
