The stability of the explicit exact solitary wave solutions to BBM type equations and BBM-Burgers type equations in the sense of Liapunov is discussed, and it is proved that these two types of explicit exact solitary wave solutions are conditional stable when the initial infinitesimal disturbance is satisfied for certain special conditions.
