Abstract:The urban heat capacity, potential temperature, radiant quantity and sensible heat flux are numerically simulated in consideration of heating/cooling of sunlit/shaded surfaces and radiation trapping effects in street canyons and heat store in building. Urban canyon enlarges urban heat capacity more greatly in daytime and there exists neutral layer in night. Urban canyon is the main source of urban sensible heat flux. Thus,urban canyon can not be neglected in the urban weather research.
