Experimental study on shear behavior of diaphragm assembly using V840 profiled steel sheet is presented.The different effects of the stressed diaphragm action with purlins and without purlins are compared,and the experimental result indicates that the edge member is vital to the stressed diaphragm action in working.It is acceptable to use the BS code of stressed diaphragm in design as comparing with experimental results.
