Four new exact solitarywave solutions(whose asymptotic values are not equal to zero)with the hyperbolic secant function fractional form and six periodic wave solutions with cosine function form for the generalized bad Boussinesq equation were obtained by use of undetermined assumption method.The boundedness of these solutions were discussed.The correlative characteristics between the exact solitary-wave solutions and the periodic wave solutions were examined along with the variation of the traveling wave's velocity.
