The performance of beam-column joints strengthened by CFRP was studied experimentally and numerically. The surface strain and the maximum shearing stress of the beam were acquired in the test for strengthened and unstrengthened model. It is made clear that CERP confined concrete can reduce the displacement of the beam.Except by experiments, the software of FEM-ANSYS was applied to form three concrete models by taking different model parameters and to obtain the shearing stress and the beam end displacement. The conclusions are the size, the rate of reinforcement and the ratio of axial pressures are agents that impact the performance of the joint.CFRP can bear load availably together with concrete to lower the stress in concrete. The capacity of structural load bearing can be raised effectively by gluing CFRP.
