By using phase plane analysis and qualitative theory with respect to ordinary differential e- quations,the traveling wave solutions of the symmetric regularized long wave equation with dissipative term are studied,and some results about the characteristics of its bounded traveling wave solution,such as existence,monotony and oscillation property,are achieved.An exact kink solitary wave solution and an approximate solution of oscillatory solution are obtained.
