In accordance with the situations of water flow and water quality in the Danjiangkou reservior catchment—the middle water source zone of the project SouthtoNorth water Transfer,the main problems of the water resource management system in Danjiangkou reservoir catchment were discussed for the purpose of water security and sustainable utilization.It is found out the conflict between catchment management and region management is the main problem.Some suggestions were provided.
