Abstract:The anticorrosive influences of sodium molybdate and its composite inhibitors on the corrosion behavior of ethylene glycol solution in ice-storage air conditioning system were investigated by suing the static weight loss method. The results show that sodium molybdate or borax alone may exhibit certain inhibitive effect on ethylene glycol solution, however, the required dose will be too large. When the mass concentration is 600 mg/L,their inhibition rates are 61.6% and 74.8% respectively.Furthermore, the composite inhibitors have favorable synergistic effects which can decrease the amount of inhibitors. For composite inhibitors with the concentration of 600 mg/L,the inhibition rate can reach 80% or more, while the dosage only accounts for 0.05 percent of the solution. When the ratio of sodium molybdate to borax is 1:4,the best ratio of the composite inhibitors comes and the inhibition efficiency could reach 90.2%.
