A thermodynamic model of organic Rankine-single-stage vapor compression refrigeration system was built. From the point of view of the first and second laws of thermodynamics, the effects of generating temperature, condensing temperature and evaporation temperature on system performance were studied when using R245fa,R123,R114 and R141b as working fluids respectively, taking the system coefficient of performance and exergy efficiency as evaluation criteria. The calculated results show that R141b is the optimal working fluid. Then the distribution of exergy loss was investigated under typical working conditions with R141b as working fluid. It is concluded that the condenser of vapor compression refrigeration system and the boiler of organic Rankine cycle are the key components to improve the exergy efficiency of the whole system.
