Abstract:The convergence side is a standard to distinguish 2D images from 3D images and is a key element for the viewing comfort of 3D images.Analyzing the relationship between the convergence side and viewing comfort makes the foundation of the study.The influence of convergence side on viewing comfort was analyzed from the aspects of convergence side camera parameters,visual language expression in image creation and viewing condition of 3D images.The relevance between convergence side and perception depth,parallax distance,objective lens spacing etc.was obtained.On these bases,the rules and methods for adjusting convergence side parameters in the processes of shooting,non-linear editing and showing were summed up.Through experiments,the valid data range for convergence side parameters adjustment was obtained.The results provide necessary basis for creating 3D video works with viewing comfort.
