Based on the load characteristics in random vibration environment, the reliability of an auto brake pipe was investigated.According to the theory of random vibration, the reliability simulation test on a vibration bench was carried out to analyze the vibration characteristics of the related specimens in frequency domain. Then a simplified vibration environment simulation scheme of the bench test was put forward and implemented to analyze the signals from the aspects of power spectral density and accumulative energy distribution. The study proves that with the simplified scheme, the test can be done more efficiently if the accuracy of the bench test is guaranteed. The influences of the accompanying test specimens on the vibration characteristics of the brake pipe and the reliability assessment of the vibration bench test were summed up.The results provide engineering experiences and technical references to the construction of vibration bench test with similar characteristics.
