The solubilizing effects of corn-shaped-balloon and glossy-balloon on sonothrombolysis in vitro were evaluated and compared by using animal blood clots.Sixty thrombi samples of whole blood from healthy Chinese rabbits were made and divided into 4 balloon solubilizing groups and 1 control group.The balloon solubilizing groups were respectively enhanced by glossy balloons and corn-shaped-balloons.The thrombolysis rates and residual rates of different granularitys of clots were calculated and compared among all the groups.The results show that in terms of thrombolysis rates,the thrombolysis rates of all the balloon solubilizing groups are higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);and the thrombolysis rates of the two groups using corn-shaped-balloons are higher than those of the two groups using glossy-balloons (P<0.05).In terms of the clots residual rates of different granularitys,the φ≥3.7 clots residual rates of all the balloon solubilizing groups are lower than that of the control group (F=215.136,P<0.05);the φ≥3.7 clots residual rates of the two corn-shaped-balloon solubilizing groups are lower than that of the two glossy-balloon solubilizing groups (P<0.05),but the φ<3.7 clots residual rates of the two corn-shaped-balloon solubilizing groups are higher than those of the two glossy-balloon solubilizing groups (P<0.05).It is concluded thatballoon solubilizing could be used to increase thrombolysis rates; under the same pressure,the thrombolysis rates and the clots breaking extents of the corn-shaped-balloons are better than the glossy-balloons;and the balloon dilatation pressures influence thrombolysis rates or clots residual rates only to small extents.
