The dynamic variation of thalamo-cortical functional connections was explicitly exploited to identify gender-specific dynamic states and statistical analysis was performed to examine the influense of gender factor on dynamic thalamo-cortical functional connectivity patterns by statistic analysis. The results reveal that for each of 9 gender-specific thalamo-cortical connectivity states, the strength of functional connectivity in men is significantly higher than that in women. These results extend our understanding of thalamo-cortical connectivity and demonstrate the gender difference in dynamic thalamo-cortical functional connections.
