Abstract:The carbon nanotubes (CNTs),ZnO/Zn nanopowder and pore-forming agent polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microparticles were treated by ultrasonic dispersion, filtration and calcinations to prepare ZnO/Zn/CNT porous composite structures. The as-prepared samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy disperse spectroscopy(EDS) and Raman spectroscopy. The characterization results show that a large number of pore structures exist within the sample and the ZnO/Zn composite powder is embedded in the pores interwoven by CNTs.In addition, the crystal structure of ZnO nanorods does not change in the preparation of ZnO/Zn/CNT porous composite structure. The degradation experiments show that because of the existence of the pore structure and the synergy of ZnO with CNTs,the degradation rate of methyl orange is about 99.9% after 80 minitues reaction.
