Abstract:Regional market integration has accelerated the flow of factors between different regions, and has effectively promoted the growth of local economy.Through the construction of the economic opening index of Shanghai and market integration index of Shanghai and other provinces (Jiangsu province and Zhejiang province) in the Yangtze River Delta,an empirical research on the relationship between Shanghai's economic openness, regional market integration and total factor productivity was carried out.It is found that the relationship appears as a nonlinear function, and the degree of importance of the linkage development of Shanghai and regional markets has been gradually higher than that of the traditional economic growth mode which is reliant on the export-oriented economy. Thus,Shanghai should adopt not only the strategy of "go out and introduce in",but also the strategy of alliance and joint development with internal regions.
