Abstract:People have to face the risk of serious air pollution in their daily travel. The influencing factors of residents' travel risk perception in air pollution environment were studied from the disaggregate perspective. The risk perception was taken as a latent variable, which was described from the two aspects of the subjective probability of risk and the assessment of the severity of consequences. The AQI (air quality index),travelers' social and demographic characteristics and their attention about AQI were taken as observed variables. Two structural equation models were established to verify the main effect of the above mentioned three observed variables and the moderation effect of AQI information on the travelers' risk perception. The empirical results show that:air pollution will significantly increase travelers' risk perception;the risk perception of middle aged travelers above 40 years old is much less than that of young people;the moderation effect of AQI information on travelers' risk perception is significant, especially when air pollution is very serious;travelers who walk with sensitive people will increase the risk perception due to querying AQI information.
