Abstract:Out-of-code super high-rise buildings generally in one or some pects do not conform to the seismic concept design.The tower of such structures usually is of the features of torsional irregularity,tower bias,floor discontinuities,etc.The analysis of a certain out-of-code super high-rise building in Shanghai was carried out by using the programs of SATWE and PMSAP.The results show that the structural parameters calculated by either program are basically the same.The parameters of rigidity-weight ratio,period ratio and shear-weight ratio satisfy the requirements of the codes.Detailed measures were provided aiming at dealing with the out-of-code factors,such as the torsional irregularity,tower bias,floor discontinuities,setback and super-long structure.
