Abstract:Water resistance performance of the foamed asphalt cold recycled pavement is insufficient. The anti-stripping agent can effectively improve the water loss resistance of the ordinary asphalt pavement. The feasibility of adding anti-stripping agent to the foamed asphalt cold recycled mixture for the improvement of water resistance was explored. A non-amine anti-stripping agent was used as the research object. The asphalt with different anti-stripping agents was tested for foaming and three major indices. The mixture was tested for relevant water stability tests. The results show that the optimum amount of anti-stripping agent is 0.5% of asphalt on a weight basis. After the addition of the anti-stripping agent, under the standard test conditions, the elongation and softening point is reduced, and the penetration of the asphalt is increased. The water loss resistance of the foamed asphalt cold recycled mixture is obviously improved, and the residual stability ratio and the strength ratio after five freeze-thaw cycles are increased by more than 10%.
